Dominic Lê - Founder Tropical Trekking & Trek Guide
Proud to be indigenous tour guide
As mountain-born people, it's our pleasure and pride to become the tour guide for our own land. We get to walk the trail to our village, to exchange culture, and to share the values of the place we were born and raised.

Project "From Hunter to Guider" - turning the animal hunters into trail guides. Hoping to create stable income for the locals. Only when the life of the locals are secured financially, then they will start to think less about hunting wild lives, slash and burn argiculture, and illegal logging. By becoming tour guides, our hunter friends will be more proud when they talk about the place they were born, raised and lived.
Mr. Enlui - VQG Bidoup's community tour guide
Until now, there are many friends, who are part of Cil and K'Ho group, have been accompanying Trop for years. They are all indigenous tour guides and have years of experience in trekking and packed with survival skills. On top of that, they are also enthusiastic, caring, honest and strong like "sons of the forest." That's why these treks always bring comfort, fun and surprise when these guys are on board.

Survival skills at the back of your hand
Hear no devil, see no devil, and you will be missing out. Your eyes are for witnessing the stunning views of nature. Your ears are for listening to the ambient sound of the wild. Your hands are for feeling the morning dew on the greeny leaves. These are the most anticipating parts of a trek.
In order to be a great tour guide, they must equip themselves with experiences and be knowledgeable geographically. Moreover, first aid and survival skills are a must-know to be able to solve any problems or prevent any risks, dangers on time, guaranteeing safety for trekkers.
Phúc Lâm - Operation Leader - Trop's tour guide
Phúc Lâm - Trop's safety tour guide shared: "Once, I guided a group of foreign tourists on a trek. Because they do not know the geography of the mountains in Vietnam, yet love exploring. An unforunate event happened, a tourist turned the wrong direction from the group and got lost. I was on the rear of the group, checking the number of our group constantly, so I spotted someone was missing right away. Luckily, before departure, the members were informed about safety measures, especially what to do when you get yourself lost from the group. Our lost friend knew about this, he stood where he was and gave a loud whistle to signal his location. I was equipped with trekking experience and knowledge about the forests, and thanks to that I was able to find our lost friend and brought him back. When you go on a trek, risks are inevitable no matter how big or small. That's why safety tour guides like me are always serious about complying safety measures while being in the forests. In order to bring the best experience to our trekkers.
Connector
Not only guides, trekking guides also play a role as a connector. They are are the ones who bring the attractive life style of the forests to others. Connecting people closer to nature. And also the ones who bring the culture of South Central Highlands to tourists.

Starting at "Do it for passion"
Trop's trekking guides are from different cities, universities, ages, only passion is the same. Adventurous tour has a special spot in their heart, also the love for nature and the need to protect it.
During the two years pandemic, tourism suffered the most.Tropical Trekking was not an exception. Thanks to the motto of our trekking guides: "do it for passion."
The job is sometimes challenging, sometimes easy. This requires you to have flexibility, sturdy to carry heavy backpacks. Also able to perform many tasks like cooking, taking care of trekker's health, singing, taking photos, etc. Because of passion, nothing seems that challenging anymore.
