Tropical Trekking organizes and executes trekking tours through the forests in the Central Highlands. Throughout the trip, we will bring you activities that is closely connected to nature, and the ethnic groups of the Highlands.

A journey full of cultures

Tropical Trekking was established with a mission to preserve the cultures of the Highlands and was one of the pioneer doing the adventurous tours. 

Currently in Vietnam, Tropical Trekking is exploiting trekking routes through National Park Bidoup - Núi Bà, located in Lam Dong with 4 main routes with 3 distinct difficulties.

1. Exploit natural resources with responsibility

With desires to create the balance between economic growth and nature preservation. Exploit natural resources with responsibility, easier said than done. Every trip, every trekker is informed of how to handle trash, nature's call, minimizing the use of plastics, etc. We want to keep the forests green and clean. We want to leave the forest with the least possible human prints.

2. Bring incomes to the indigenous people

With a mission to preserve the forests, the project "From Hunter to Guider" was born. Tropical Trekking always wants to turn animal hunters into trail guiders. Only when the life of the locals are secured financially, then they will start to think less about hunting wild lives, slash and burn argiculture, and illegal logging. By becoming tour guides, our hunter friends will be more proud when they talk about the place they were born, raised and lived.

During the pandemic, all tourism activities in Vietnam was almost completely frozen. Tropical Trekking was also affected by this. However, everybody was continuing to work hard and get through these tough times. Back then, we simply thought as long as Tropical Trekking works, the indigenous people still has work to do.

3. Deliver full cultural experiences for the trekkers. 

Every trail has a name and a cultural story. When participating in a trekking tour, it's not just walking from point A to point B. There are stops along the way, where trekkers will hear historical stories, experience the cultures of the K'Ho and Cil, which are hidden under the deep valleys of the forest.

The highlight of a trek is that the tourist becomes a traveler. A traveler is always on a journey to learn and understand new things. The mysterious stories, packed with cultural context, being told by a village elderly is a invaluable gift to any trekker who listens.

A thing that is super meaningful to our crew is that, until now, our customers who have experienced the first tour, they come back for the second time, or even third time. When planning, organizing, the Tropical Trekking crew are always reminded of beside the quality of the service, safety is the top priority.

Joining the experience tour, requires the participant to have good physical health and discipline. Beside, they are also equipped with safety equipment. Every 3 trekkers, there will be 1 guide who follow closely to ensure everything is okay. Tropical Trekking also has a manual and guideline for every trekker to guarantee safety for everyone.
